Fenty Skin Is Coming Out And Rihanna Appeared Bare Faced In A Video To Launch The Brand. She’s Gorgeous

By  |

In many, many ways, Fenty Beauty has been revolutionary in the makeup space. It was one of the first brands to introduce more than 6 shades in its foundation range, a move that caused many brands to follow. And these weren’t just a lot of shades – they were also a lot of undertones. In its own way, Fenty Beauty flipped the middle finger to the racism rampant on beauty counters. Shelves stacked with many 50 shades of white, but not nearly enough for women with deeper complexions.

Fenty Beauty also introduced a gold highlight, one that could be used on the cheeks, eyes and anywhere you deem fit, and Trophy Wife became the stuff of legend. But Rihanna didn’t just stop there. She took the name Fenty and extended it to a lingerie line – Savage X Fenty – that had lingerie for women of all shapes and sizes. So when Riri appeared with clear skin in a video to introduce Fenty Skin, you can imagine our excitement. We want to get our hands on everything.

From the looks of it, the skin line will have a cleanser, a toner and maybe a cream or moisturised, I couldn’t tell exactly. But the packaging looks fabulous and luxurious, and given her track record with products, we would be willing guinea pigs for this kind of skincare experiment.

What’s also fascinating is that in this video, it appears as if Rihanna is wearing literally no makeup, and if that’s how her skin looks on camera, then, wow, just wow. She’s showing washing her face, applying toner and then follows it up with something that’s making her glow. The brand launches the skincare line on 31st July in the US. It will be a while before it gets to India, of course. We don’t even have Fenty Beauty in Sephora India right now. Usually, we could all get our paws on the stuff from the US by annoying travelling cousins and relatives to buy something for us, but with the pandemic, even that is a distant dream. Oh well, we are just going to have to wait it out, I guess.
