Deepika Wore The Raddest Hair And Makeup At IIFA Rocks 2016

Deepika Wore The Raddest Hair And Makeup At IIFA Rocks 2016

If there’s one hairstyle that my friends often ask me to recreate, it has to be Deepika Padukone’s casual ponytail look with lots of height. The teased at the crown style has become her signature look, and I think it’s one look that could work for everyone. However, Deepika took this style to a whole new level at IIFA last night. That pompadour styled with a faux mohawk coupled with the exaggerated graphic eyes had drama written all over it. Take a look for yourself:

Paired with her stunning black Swapnil Shinde custom dress, this was one rad look. Like it? Here’s how you can cop it:

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation_Hauterfly

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (Rs 3,565)

Base: Apply Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation only in the centre of the face and buff it towards the sides with Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. Add Colorbar Luminous Rouge Blush only on the apples of the cheeks and bring out the high points of the face with TheBalm Betty Lou Manizer.

Bobbi Brown Greige Eye Palette_Hauterfly

Bobbi Brown Greige Eye Palette (Rs 5,910)

Eyes: The key to nailing this look is in keeping things sharp. Use cello tape to create a guideline between the ends of your eye and eyebrows. You will need three colours of eyeshadow for this look. Bobbi Brown Greige Eye Palette should work well. Use the shimmery slate grey sahdow on the entire eyelids, define the crease using the dark grey-black, use the same dark shadow on the outer corner as well, apply the silvery grey on the inner corners to open up the eyes. Deepika is wearing a strong graphic eyeliner. Use MAC Fluidline Eyeliner Gel to first create a dramatic cat eye. Draw another line above your crease and join it to the tip of the cat eye. Make sure your shadow work is restricted within the graphic eye. Finish with a few lashings of Maybelline Volum’ Express Falsies Mascara.

Colorbar Bare Velvet Matte Lipstick_Hauterfly

Colorbar Bare Velvet Matte Lipstick in Bare (Rs 325)

Lips: A swipe of Colorbar Bare Velvet Matte Lipstick in Bare is just about enough colour to finish the look.

Here’s a great video on her look:

1. Section the fringe portion of your hair to create a pompadour. Prep your hair with some texturising spray or dry shampoo to create some lift and volume at the roots. Garnier Volume Extend Instant Bodifier Dry Shampoo should do the trick.
2. Tease the crown section with a teasing comb to create a pompadour. Concentrate closer to the roots. Keep spritzing L’Oréal Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hair Spray to hold the style.
3. Gather the front section and pin it in place once you are satisfied with the height you’ve created.
4. The rest of Deepika’s hair has been styled in a faux mohawk. If you look closely, there are a couple of messy buns there. Follow this video tutorial to nail the look:
