We Tried Deepika Padukone’s Cannes Makeup Look, And The Result Is BOMB!

Deepika Padukone has long returned from Cannes 2019, but we’re still not over all the glitz and glam she brought to the red carpet. She stole the show in a custom monochrome Peter Dundas couture gown on the first day. The actress completed the look with a samurai style ponytail and a dramatic inverted eye liner that made her really stand out! Deepika’s team finally experimented with her look this year and made many heads turn with that extravagant bow and super sharp wing!

Interestingly, the look wasn’t exactly OTT, yet definitely Cannes-approved! Deepika’s makeup complemented her chiseled face, and you’ve gotta admit you couldn’t get your eyes off her too. With the rest of the look minimal, her makeup artist got the wing and contour absolutely on point! The inverted eye liner was the highlight, and of course, we just had to try our hand at it.

Step 1: Swipe on light brown transition colour on your eyelids and crease.

Step 2:  Pat on a dark brown eyeshadow on the lids, to give it a light smokey look.

Step 3: Draw an outline under your waterline and fill it completely.

Step 4: Extend the liner on the lower lashline to make it more dramatic.

Step 5: Add false eyelashes to complete your eyes.

Step 6: Coat the lashes with mascara to make it look real.

Step 7:  Contour your cheekbones.

Step 8: Swipe on blush and highlighter.

Step 9: Apply a nude lipstick, ideally a brown shade, to finish the look!
