Bushra’s New Blush Is Like A Glorious Sunset In Summer
I’ve become obsessed with blush in the last couple of months. I am totally in love with the fresh-faced makeup look, and can’t do without my daily dose of Benefit’s Benetint and a swipe of Benefit Watts Up highlighter on the top of my cheekbones. However, like every other millennial, I can’t stick to a routine for very long. And these gorgeous summery blushes had me craving for a change. I realised I’m totally over flushed pinks when I laid my eyes on Colorbar’s Luminous Rouge Blush in Luminous Coral. It had me at hello!
This insanely pretty blush is intensely pigmented, as is characteristic of all Colorbar products. The rouge has three distinct shades — a dark brownish-orange, orange coral, and a light peachy coral. You can pick up all the shades using a blush brush to get a sunkissed glow, or you can use a fan brush like the e.l.f. Studio Fan Brush to pick up each shade individually. The dark brownish-orange can be used like a bronzer to contour under the cheek bones, the orange coral goes on the apples of the cheeks, and the shimmery peachy coral can be used as a highlighter.
I generally steer clear of shimmery blushes, but the Luminous Rouge Blush with its finely milled sheen looks like a glorious sunset. It has just the right amount of shimmer and colour opacity. The buttery texture melts on application, making blending a dream. You can wear it as a sheer wash of colour or really build it up to look striking depending on your mood and the occasion. A light coral works for the day time, while the nights calls for a slightly heavy-handed application.
