The Cream Bronzer That Zahra Is Ditching Her Powder One For

The Cream Bronzer That Zahra Is Ditching Her Powder One For

When anyone talks to me about bronzers, I always balk at the idea of using brown powders that end up looking more muddy than mod — especially on my pale complexion. One of my biggest challenges when exercising my limited contouring skills is to ensure that my complexion looks like it has some warmth instead of apparent brown streaks under my cheekbones and forehead. No matter how much I blend, streaky and dense bronzer is my biggest undoing.

I didn’t really know cream bronzer was a thing until I came across this amazing Chanel product that made minimal contouring such a breeze. So much so that I’m never going to bother using a powder bronzer again. Meet Chanel’s Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base — my new favourite holy grail product that I can’t recommend enough to anyone who likes putting on makeup.

Chanel Soleil De Tan Bronzing Makeup Base-2

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base

This weightless gel-like cream blends easily into skin, leaving behind a very subtle, sheer tint that makes your skin look warm and healthy. Instead of the dusty effect of bronzing powders, Soleil Tan De Chanel blends beautifully into your skin and gives you that luminous glow you’ve been wanting all along! The product is extremely easy to blend, and I’ve used it with both my fingers and a brush, and it goes on perfectly without streaking. While it does look dark in the pan, it goes on very sheer and you can build it up considerably, depending on the depth of colour you want. It doesn’t get cakey or slick, so it’s great even for girls with oily skin like me. If you’re still concerned, you can always dust a little bit of bronzing powder over it to set it.

One thing you do need to make sure to do is moisturise properly otherwise the product won’t glide over as smoothly as it should. Also, if you prefer wearing powder foundations, you can’t layer this cream product over it because it will just smear all over the place. But when done right, it will give you that perfect sun-kissed glow that looks utterly natural and skin-like. The other good news is that a little goes a long way and the generous size will last you a very, veeery long time. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t feel so guilty about the price tag. It’s an investment worth making, ladies!
