Brighten Up Your Eyes With This New Eyeshadow Trend

Brighten Up Your Eyes With This New Eyeshadow Trend

A pleasant break from the nudes, browns, and greys, opting for a jewel-toned blue or green eye is now the best way to amp up your usual look. With electric blue trending on the runway, it’s time to say goodbye to those neutrals. I am aware that bright colours can get a little loud, so layer the colours accordingly, keeping slightly less pigmented shades for the day and heavier ones for the evening. Remember the key is to thoroughly blend it in so that it doesn’t stand out more that it’s actually supposed to. Also please keep in mind NOT to try and match the colour to your clothes, unless the lost peacock look is what you’re going for.

We would recommend adding depth to your eye shadow, by using a darker shade of the hue on the outer ‘V’ and crease, and blending it to something lighter. Keep in mind that pigments with slight shine and glitter tend to look better than the matte ones, especially for evening wear.

As seen at Victoria Beckham’s show in collaboration with Estée Lauder earlier this week, the blue hue is definitely one to try. Scroll down to shop the different shades of the colour, with our favourite blue shadow picks.
