10 Blushes That Pop On Indian Skin Tones

10 Blushes That Pop On Indian Skin Tones

Blush is an underrated product, when it comes to makeup for Indian women. We brown girls tend to ignore the lifting effect blush can have on our skin and we choose, instead, to go heavy with kohl and lipstick. Blush can make you look like you just worked out, it can add a healthy flush of colour to an otherwise boring look, or it can contour your face. Don’t believe me? Celebrity makeup artist Daniel Bauer swears by the draping technique. So, what I’m trying to say is, don’t skip out on adding some blush to your everyday makeup looks.

#HauteTip: Unless you have absolutely flawless skin, I prefer applying blush on top of a base layer: foundation or BB Cream.

Marc Jacobs Air Blush Soft Glow Duo

1. Drape

If you’re looking for the ultimate draping product, look no further. Marc Jacobs Beauty released the Air Blush Soft Glow Duo earlier this year. In case you need a refresher on what draping is, here goes: apply the lighter colour on top of your cheekbone and the darker color below it. An angled brush works best for this technique. But if you want a soft sheen, then apply a mix of both shades together!

#HauteTip: Cream blushes work better for combination to dry skin, while powder brushes are best for oily skin. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t switch it up every now and then. Baked blushes, like the M.A.C and Milani blushes, have a super buttery formula that make it great for both types of skin.
