5 Makeup Rules That You Need To Break RN!
There are so many rules to being a woman. How you should dress, who you should speak to, how much you should speak to them, how high your hemline should be, how low your neckline should be. Obviously, we have negative f**** to give about these rules and have been doing what we want. Our hemlines as short as we please and our necklines plunging if we want. So when they made rules about makeup, they should’ve known better. Also, makeup is an art and there’s couldn’t possibly be any absolutes.
So here are a few makeup rules that you can turn your nose up to.
You can’t wear bold eyes and bold lips
This is just plain silly. Being bold is a way of life. So if you want to do smokey eyes and a bold, red lip, you go right ahead. They say you should highlight only one feature but we think a strong eye makeup look with intense lips could come together quite seamlessly as well.
Apply Your Base First
Makeup videos, Youtube tutorials etc. will have you believe that the only way to do your makeup is to apply your base and then do your eyes. In fact, we think it should be the other way around. Applying your eye makeup first will save you the trouble of having to clean up all the fallout and you get a more flawless base.
You’ve To Set It With Powder
Have your foundation on? Set it with powder. Applied your concealer? Set it with powder. Turns out, you might need to go crazy with all the powder. Need to set your makeup? Simply drench yourself in setting spray to give your makeup major staying power.
You Need Lots Of Makeup Brushes
Watch anything online and you will be very inadequate and also like you need to invest in a truckload of makeup brushes to pull off any makeup look. Here’s an insider secret, plenty of makeup artists will use their fingers to warm up the product and allow for the makeup to blend in completely. Break this one like its glass.
Open Up Your Eyes With White Eyeliner
If you read enough about making your eyes look bigger on the internet, you know most of the articles recommend applying white eyeliner to open up your eyes. But a white eyeliner might be too stark for brown or black eyed women. We suggest going for a brown or a nude liner. It has the same effect.
