5 Gel Moisturisers For Hydration Without The Oiliness!

5 Gel Moisturisers For Hydration Without The Oiliness!

Hey look, I love K Beauty as much as the next girl.  The thing is though, that they set impossibly high standards for skincare. Take the glass skin trend for example. Yeah, my skin doesn’t look remotely like that. Unless you’re looking at glass that has been stained. Then, that’s my skin. But otherwise, when I am trying to look like I have been chugging bucketfuls of water and that my skin looks naturally luminous, all the time, I fail miserably. And hydration must come from an outside source, my trusty moisturiser. The challenge though, is to look moisturised and still not like you walked into a vat of oil. And with this heat, not looking oily, now that’s the trick.

We may have found the middle ground. We are talking about gel moisturisers. Say, what? Ladies, see these are perfect because they will drench your skin just the right amount but will not overwhelm your skin with the oiliness. Check these out.

Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator (Rs 1550)

This is a cult product and you’ll know why the minute you use this why it has garnered the kind of attention it has. First of all, this feels like nothing. It’s lightweight and cooling. You put it on, almost expecting nothing to happen, but then you skin almost starts thanking you for this. We would recommend this in the blink of an eye.

Lakme Absolute Skin Gloss Gel Creme (Rs 374)

At this price point, this Lakme product is an absolute steal. Plus, it goes on like a soothing gel making your skin practically come alive. This one, while moisturising, doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky or greasy. By the way, makeup goes on like a dream on this one. *adds several tubs to cart*

Forest Essentials Light Hydrating Facial Gel Pure Rosewater (Rs 1400)

I am sold on anything that smells like roses but obviously that can’t be why you buy this. It smells rosy but without being cloying. It feels like a whipped tuft of moisturiser that disappears into the skin, actually refreshing it. We are sold on this one.

The name says it all. This one from Kiehl’s will give your skin the dose of hydration it needs but leaves it mattified and looking fresh. At the price point, it’s on the expensive side but coming from a brand that truly understands skin, it’s something we would be willing to invest in.

The Face Shop Damyang Bamboo Fresh Soothing Gel ( Rs 450)

Now here’s a product that’s perfect for the oily skinned ladies. This one is super light, smells refreshing and sits easy on the skin.
