5 Blushes Under Rs 299 For That Gorgeous Flush

By  |

The rainy season is here. And there’s that much you can wax eloquent about petrichor and curling up with a book by the window before reality kicks in, and we have to worry about real world problems. Like your mascara running down your cheeks or your kajal abandoning your eyes with alarming regularity. Chances are, you’ve decided to give up any effort to wear makeup because it has been quite futile. Plus, your skin is looking quite pale, and you haven’t managed to put your finger on what is causing this.

Our recommendation? Add some colour back into your face. And the best way to do that? Blush, of course! Worry not, you won’t have to sacrifice your entire month’s salary at the altar of beauty for these. We found you 5 blushes under Rs 299. If that doesn’t make you blush, we don’t know what will. Grab these now!

Maybelline New York Color Show Blush (Rs 240)

At Rs 240 a pop, this one is a steal. It comes in super flattering shades that really show up on Indian skin. Plus, they go on easily and blend well. I love that one pot will last you a while because a little goes a long way. This is important because we are trying to look flushed, and not audition for the role of a circus clown.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Ombré Blush (Rs 299)

This one packs a bunch because you can get two blush shades for the price of one. One sweep of the brush should pick up enough pigment to give you lovely colour. This is a blush that also doesn’t emphasise pores or make them look larger. This is especially important because my cheekbones is usually where my pores decide to conduct their parties. This blush shuts them down quick.

Blue Heaven Diamond Blush On (Rs 113)

If you want your blush to really amp up your look, turn to this trust blush for just Rs 113. This one comes with a shimmer which isn’t too sparkly so it won’t look like glitter threw up on you. It does make your skin glow, and adds a lovely hint of colour. Just what you need on a dreary monsoon day.

Essence Silky Touch Blush (Rs 179)

First of all, let’s take a moment to appreciate this price point. And while we are at it, let us tell you that this one absolutely brings it home with the pigment. To be honest, our expectations were low but this one wowed us. The colour looks exactly as it looks in the pan, comes of strongly but diffuses wonderfully into the skin leaving you looking like you’ve just done a quick 10km run.

Sugar Contour De Force Mini Blush (Rs 284)

We love how true to colour the blushes and eyeshadows from Sugar Cosmetics are. And at Rs 284, this one does its job with aplomb. It goes on silky, is easy to blend and makes your face look flawless and pretty. We love how the deep colours show up on Indian skin.
