10 Best Hairstyles From The 2017 MET Gala
With veteran Japanese fashion designer, Commes des Garçons’ Rei Kawakubo, as the theme for 2017’s Met Gala, outrageous and outré outfits on the red carpet were expected. And when your outfit is THIS exceptional, you’re going to need hair and makeup to match. So, of course, pretty much every hairdo we spotted was more elaborate than the next.
Sure some celebrities, like the Kardashian-Jenner clan, kept it simple (shockingly so), but there were also the Cara Delevingnes of the Met red carpet who not only made our heads turn, but also managed to shock us out of our Tuesday morning snooze.

1. Cara Delevingne
You can see why I’ve started this list with Cara Delevingne, right? Ten hours ago, she posted a photo of her shaved head on Instagram. While some of us screamed in horror, not a single person expected her to paint her head chrome and add some rhinestones to the mix. Think about it, it’s a damage-free way to colour your hair (dare I say, lol?).

2. Hailey Baldwin
I haven’t seen anyone do this in years. Not unless they were invited to a Royal Wedding at least. But if there ever was a more appropriate place to wear a rhinestone hair net, it would be the Met Gala.

3. Priyanka Chopra, Rihanna, & Hailee Steinfeld
Quite a few people opted for a strict top knot, but these 3 ladies definitely nailed it. While everything PC had on was the bomb dot com, I’m not sure how I feel about the other two. For their hair though, they get full marks!

4. Deepika Padukone
Her outfit didn’t hit the spot, but her hair, oh what can I say about her hair! Hair accessories have always been my weakness and this celestial bunch she’s sporting has me weak in the knees! It’s definitely one I plan to recreate soon.

5. Lily Aldridge
Now, I’m not sure if Lily’s veil counts as hair or makeup, but what I can say is that it looks hella’ fine! A soft middle parting and that lightweight puff of pink across her face and hair; I’m not sure how she ate all night, but I’m thinking it was worth it.

6. Janelle Monae
Deepika wasn’t the only one at the Met with glittering bits in her hair. Janelle Monae always comes through with her hairdo, and the evening’s short crystal studded crop didn’t disappoint!

It seems like updos were the favoris du jour at the Met 2017. While Priyanka Chopra and gang kept it pretty much out of the face, Gigi let a wild section out and she looked as fierce as ever.

8. Chrissy Teigen
If you look at it upfront, you can’t see it. But as soon as Chrissy turns her head, you can see the stars, and it’s almost as if she and Deepika coordinated (I hope they at least took a #twinning photo). As per usual, I can’t get enough of the accessories, or her arm candy for that matter!
