Deepika Padukone Finally Came Through At Cannes In The Dramatic Gown She Always Deserved!
The wait is finally over. Deepika Padukone has walked the Cannes red carpet and her first look has floored us. The actress posted her looks from the festival on social media. She did manage to tease us with many hints and prep videos first!
The custom gown comes from the house of Peter Dundas, the fashion house behind many of this year’s Met Gala looks as well. Amping up the style to a ‘1000!’, Deepika’s styling team finally nailed the right look for her. The actress is anything but ordinary, and so is this gorgeous bow detailed look.
Everything, from her hair to her makeup and jewellery works so well. We finally bear witness to how a high fashion ponytail is supposed to look like. One sore spot that we always felt with Deepika’s red carpet looks was her team’s lack of experimentation. But that inverted liner itself is enough to win the Cannes red carpet and we are so glad.
Although we will talk about the gown in detail later, we want to mention the train. That train is 7-steps long. Now that makes this wait totally worth it!
Before we step away from beaming about Deepika’s Cannes look, let’s take a trip down memory lane with some of the actress’s most exciting looks.
Deepika’s OTT Ashi Studio gown turned a lot of heads last year!
Her sheer and embroidered Zuhair Murad number was a heavenly creation as well.
If there ever was a right time to wear a purple pantsuit, it’s at Cannes!
The way to tastefully do cleavage is in an Alberta Ferretti metallic number!
This romantic Maison Valentino gown is what we wish to see her in again.
Deepika also managed to twirl her haters away in this Philosophy geometric dress.
What do you think is going to be her next outfit? Let us know!
