Don’t Know How To Rock A Belted Saree? Take Inspiration From These Celebs!

By  |

Maxi dresses are trendy right now. For a while, we were partial to denim skirts. But while trends come and go, there’s one that is evergreen and if we may say so, is making a comeback. Sarees! They do take on a new look with changing times to make the drapes more modern or the silhouette, popular. Lately, we have been seeing one particular look styled a lot and that is the belted saree.  This waist-cinching style has been the go-to trick for stylists to make the wearer look taller and hug the curves better. Belted sarees are also a good way to add an element to the outfit, making it edgier and packing a punch.

Quite frankly, we love a belted look because they make the saree wearing experience so much easier. It saves us the hassle of handling the pallu and is a hack to keep it together for beginners are overwhelmed by the many aspects of saree-wearing. Some of our favourite celebs have been doing it in chic ways and we picked our faves!

Jacketed Sarees

Double-breasted jackets have a new friend in organza sarees – we are taking inspiration from this outfit Karisma Kapoor is wearing. On occasion when a saree needs to multitask as both an ethnic and formal wear, we know what to do!

Corset Belts

Corset belts enjoyed short-lived attention from street style stars back in 2018 but we don’t want to let them go just yet. The corset belted saree is perfect for trouser sarees, the belt adding some major glamour and giving us enviable curves.

Wide Leather Belts

Wide leather belts are a versatile accessory that should be in every woman’s wardrobe. From flowy dresses to high waisted skirts in need of a finishing detail, the belts come in handy. We are loving their pairing with Isha Ambani Parimal’s sheer saree and have many ideas for our georgette ones as well.

Thin Fabric belts

What we love about Mouni Roy’s saree lehenga is how the fabric belt was chosen to match the border of the pallu. Sleek fabric belts can be paired with pretty much all of our sarees. They get the job done of cinching the waist without taking attention away from the saree itself.
