This Cream Delivers A Burst Of Hydration For Parched Skin
If glitter skincare masks aren’t really your thing, then you’ll be happy to know that celebrity favourite beauty brand, GlamGlow has launched a new product. It’s a moisturiser this time, and of course, it has to come with a twist. A blue-coloured twist, to be precise!
GlamGlow’s new Waterburst Hydrated Glow Moisturizer is not your usual thick, white cream. Instead, it is a sea-green hydrating gel made of two K-beauty ingredients that sound positively amazing.
The first is water from Jeju Island on South Korea’s South Sea, which is infused with all kinds of skin-loving minerals. That is combined with a “Triple Hyaluronic Acid complex”, which is supposed to moisturise your skin for at least 72 hours. (Seems very similar to Clinique’s Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto Replenishing Hydrator, no?) For skincare noobs, hyaluronic acid can absorb a thousand times its weight in water, so this is A LOT of moisture delivered straight to your skin.
Of course, I couldn’t wait to try it.
The formula has a silky, gel cream texture and immediately delivers excellent hydration to your face. If you have dry skin, this product is designed for you. It will leave your skin looking supple and glowing, with a serious boost of moisture and softness.
The product has a lot of slip — thanks to the presence of dimethicones — so it would work well as a pore-filling primer as well if you’re someone who has large pores. (If your pores gets clogged easily, you might want to stay away from this.) What’s more, it works well for humid climates, so you can wear it during the summer as a lightweight moisturiser, and double it up as a hydrating mask during colder months too.
I’ve been using the moisturiser for a week now, and I am definitely impressed. I have an extremely oily t-zone and dry cheeks. This moisturiser helps the dry bits tremendously, without making my t-zone oilier. It sinks into the skin quickly, and leaves it feeling smooth and hydrated. It also smells amazing — almost like bubblegum!
