#HauteSounds: Monica Dogra Is Back With TWO New Videos!
Our favourite indie artist Monica Dogra has been quite prolific lately. Earlier this month she released a new video for her song Shiver from her solo album Spit, and now comes her collaboration with Malaysian singer-songwriter Reshmonu aka Resh. The just-released music video has been directed by the award-winning artist himself; Trouble is an R&B ballad and the third single from his new album Who Am I. Looking absolutely hot, the two artists certainly have a lot of chemistry going on, as is evident from the video above.
Monica says that the two artists are trying to bridge the cultural gap between the two countries, and what better than music to do that. The video was shot in India and Malaysia and has been produced by Jim Beanz. Both singers are signed under Universal Music and decided to collaborate last month, when they met in Mumbai for the first time.
A little over a week ago, she also released the video for Shiver, which talks about various issues like the loss of love, how instant messaging has taken over emotions, homosexuality, and an array of female expressions. The lead role is essayed by ace dancer and long-time Dogra collaborator Reshma Gajjar, who has also worked for international artists like Madonna and Ricky Martin. There’s some stunning choreography by Jasmine Albuquerque, gorgeous costumes by Shane and Falguni Peacock, and an intense vibe that will definitely have you appreciating Dogra’s unique artistic vision. The spoken-voice video gradually descends into the song with the line, “People need to be held when they are shivering.”
