Here’s Who We Spotted At The Grey Goose Couture Cabanas Party!
Grey Goose and ASILO reunited on Saturday for an evening full of hobnobbing, sultry cabanas, and exotic cocktails. Aptly titled Couture Cabanas, the event is in its third season and displayed some gorgeously trussed up cabanas by four celebrated designers — Narendra Kumar Ahmed, Nachiket Barve, Falguni & Shane Peacock, and Nitya Arora. Each of the four cabanas was inspired by a refreshing selection of Grey Goose cocktails. From soft and ethereal to edgy and distinct, each creation was beautifully done up and elegantly lit.
Narendra Kumar’s cabana was inspired by Velvet Rope, an elderflower and grapefruit concoction. His cabana was styled in lush shades of blush and gold. Twinkling fairy lights encased in jars adorned the walls, giving us an impression of mystical lands and happy times.
Nachiket Barve’s cabana was inspired by Passionate Affair. In keeping with the name, his cabana included lots of passionate and vibrant colours that had us thinking of lazy summer romances with handsome strangers. His cabana was all about vivacity and the passion that love sparks off.
Falguni & Shane Peacock’s cabana was a luxurious design inspired by Le Fizz. Think gleaming white sands, shimmering crystals, and soothing shades of ivory. With bold white flowers and drapes adorning this cabana, it reflected the beautiful Cape Town in all its style.
Nitya Arora’s cabana boasted of a completely different theme. She definitely urged us to delve deeper and look beyond the superficial to find our true selves. Done up in a retro fashion, it was a clever amalgamation of what is truly beautiful and what is a mere cover.
