Priyanka Chopra Snags Elle US’s Feb Cover!

 

We love surprises, and that was exactly the feeling at Hauterfly HQ today as we gaped at Priyanka Chopra’s Elle US cover (not to forget her stunning look in a Vera Wang dress at the People’s Choice Awards last night, where she became the first South Asian woman to nab a Best Actress In A TV Show Award for Quantico). PeeCee is one out of five cover girls for the American fashion magazine’s sixth annual Women in TV issue, the others being Olivia Wilde, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Taraji P Henson and Viola Davis. And boy, does she look phenomenal!

As far as the cover goes, it screams HOT. Priyanka dons an off-the-runway look from Valentino’s Spring 2016 collection and I love the clash of feminine with fierce — an intricate white lace dress with delicate pintuck folds, that’s cinched at the waist with Masai beads. And that gold choker with a rhino pendant is a stunner. The tribal influence adds a fierce edge to the look.

As far as the make-up goes, the bold brows and taupe eyeshadow is in tandem with the feel of the cover. Keeping it neutral in the make-up department, taupe lips complete her look. Frankly, I’m not someone who likes less colour on editorials, but this no hint of colour works so well. I’ll say it again, this woman is slaying it internationally and we’re so thrilled!
