For the longest time, girls have been asked to sit, walk, and behave a certain way. After #MeToo, that went viral in 2017, women are now challenging another gender stereotype. Since childhood, you must have been told to sit with your legs close together or crossed, as it’s more ‘lady-like’. Well, women on Instagram are changing this!

We’re sure you must have seen men spreading their legs wide while they sit (and taking up more than one seat) which is known as ‘manspreading’. Women on Instagram are now posing with their legs akimbo and this power pose is spreading like wildfire on social media. The hashtag WomanSpreading is all over Instagram!
