Here’s Everything You Need To Know About Apple’s New iOS 10!

Later this year, Apple is going to launch its new iOS 10 software for iPhones and iPads. We got a sneak peak of it at Apple’s WWDC 2016 keynote and to say we are impressed is an understatement. Some swanky new features have been added that are sure to make you fall in love with it. Keep scrolling to find out what’s in store!

Revamped iMessage

The update that has us going crazy is the introduction of some amazing new features to iMessage. The regular messaging experience is going to turn into a magical one. From invisible ink that allows you to hide your messages to depicting emoticons by recognising the words, Apple has taken a step into the future. You can also express your thoughts through live animations. This is a major revolution in instant messaging!

New lock screen

Apple is doing away with the swipe to unlock the phone feature. Now you just have to long press the home button to unlock the phone. But, first the phone will scan your fingerprint for recognition. For avid iPhone users, it will take some time to get used to this change. Swiping left will open the widgets icons, and swiping right will open the camera. Another interesting thing is the phone will automatically show the lock screen once you lift it. Notifications will be bigger in appearance.

Apple Music

The music section has a got a fresh and clean look. Songs will open directly in the library instead of the For You section. Basically the function is same, only the look has changed to appear more attractive.

Apple maps

Though they are not the most useful maps out there, iOS 10 will have Apple Maps telling you when the next toll booth will come or where your car is parked. They will also help in finding food joints on your route and will guide you if you make halts during your journey. Maps will act as your assistant and remind you about your appointments.

Notes

With the new update, iOS users can easily work on projects together using Notes and sharing it with colleagues without downloading additional apps. Neat.

Buh-bye Stocks!

Finally, the powers that be at Apple have decided to keep the Stocks app optional. (Who else has a folder called “Useless” for pre-installed apps they never use/need?)

Rock Clock

Apple gets brownie points for this feature. It keeps a tab on your sleep patterns and reminds you when you need to hit the sack for optimal sleep. Plus, it also provides you with a report that analyses your sleep cycle.

Split view on iPads

iPad users can enjoy the split screen feature with the new update. You can now browse through Hauterfly and Youtube at the same time. WIN!

Unlimited tabs on Safari

You can open as many tabs on Safari as you want. Just keep a check on your battery, though!

Listen to music while clicking pics

One more feature that gives us immense happiness is the ability to click pictures while listening to music. Until now, we had to stop our favourite song to be able to click a selfie, but thanks to this software update we no longer have to. You can also edit live photos and turn them into a slideshow.
