Summer Fitness Series: 5 Strength-Training Exercises At Home
Summer is here to stay for a long, long time, and we are dying to flaunt our bikini bodies that are, well… non-existent! So we got a fitness coach, Hannah Sim to help us get ready to sport those short shorts and strappy tops this summer. In the first episode of our four-part Summer Fitness Series, Hannah demonstrates 5 strength-training exercises at home.
This Summer Strength routine consists of:
- 5 exercises
- 30 secs on
- 15 secs hold
- 15 secs rest
These exercises are broken down into a beginner and advanced version, so aim to do whichever one you are comfortable with. Aim to do 4 rounds of the following exercises.
1. Beginner: Squats
Advanced: Jump Squats
2. Beginner: Push ups
Advanced: Push ups with rotation
3. Beginner: Single leg crab hold
Advanced: Crab walk
4. Beginner: Lateral lunges
Advanced: Lateral lunge with knee ups
5. Beginners: Plank jacks on palms
Advanced: Plank jacks on your forearms
