Meet The #HauteSquad: Farozan Dossani
So we’ve turned 1 *yay*! And now, FINALLY, we’ve decided to introduce the geniuses behind Hauterfly… ok, we’ve decided to introduce you to the #HauteSquad! So here’s your inside track into who brings you your favourite stories and the madness that goes on at Hauterfly HQ.
She is loud, she is dramatic, she is funny, and she talks NON-STOP. But hey, she wouldn’t fit in with the Haute Squad if she didn’t, right? Meet our social media maven, lover of food, excitable hoarder of all things beauty, and generally the entertainment of our days, our Social Media Manager, Farozan Dossani a.k.a. Faro Appa a.k.a. Crazy Eyes.
So what exactly is it that you do?
Every day, I come into the Hauterfly HQ, create some chaos, drink a lot of coffee and, when I do have a minute to spare, my SME, Meghana, and I put up an update on social, or 5. I’m also working on a super-secret project that I’m not supposed to reveal, but I promise I’ll tell you soon. Keep your eyes open for it, yes?
What were you doing before this?
During the years before I became a loud and proud member of the #HauteSquad, I was setting up my mum’s jewellery brand, drinking a whole lot of coffee, and creating social media updates for some of your favourite lifestyle, luxury brands. *cough* not-so-humble brag *cough*
How did you get started at Hauterfly?
Like all good things in life, it was serendipitous. I’d quit my job and was travelling, and with a little help from my BFF, Bombay Bubble, Zahra found me. It was a match made in HR heaven and here I am!
What’s the favourite part about your job?
It’s hard to pin it down to a few sentences, but I absolutely adore the fact that I have the chance to work with some of the smartest, funniest, and nicest people I’ve ever met — it’s nothing like The Devil Wears Prada. And let’s get real, who wouldn’t want to get paid to spend their day on Instagram? The free coffee is a bonus, too!
And the least favourite?
As Aindrila has mentioned so eloquently, we’re surrounded by a bunch of chair pirates. So we’re basically living the plot of Gone In 60 Seconds ERRYDAY!
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Queen of the whole universe, but I’ll settle for Bombay, if I *have* to.
What’s the one piece of advice you’d give someone who wants a job like yours?
Social never sleeps, so keep chugging those cappuccinos. You’re only as good as your last update, so invest your all in everything you do. If you ever lose your way, look up and you’ll be guided by the stars.
