Jacqueline Fernandez’s Remake of Ek Do Teen Has Ruined Our Childhood!

Jacqueline Fernandez, who for the most part has been a pretty prop in Bollywood movies, is going to be recreating the iconic Madhuri Dixit-Nene song, Ek Do Teen. Jacqueline put up a teaser post on her social networks announcing this. We want to talk about this calmly like rational human beings but we are irate.

First of all, Jacqueline isn’t exactly known for her dancing skills. And when you are trying to make-under (which is what this is) a number, which has one of the best dancers of that generation, you are doing both the song and the actress a great disservice. Ideally, I would like to list here some songs you might have noticed Jacqueline in, but I am drawing a blank, so that says something.

But not everything is bad. While we completely enjoyed Madhuri’s mischievous expressions and disarming smile, Jacqueline brings to the table vacuous expressions lacking any sort of subtlety. Luckily for all of us,a flat stomach and many heaving shots of cleavage also made it into the song, so we have something to be thankful for. By the way, if you are re-creating a song a whole generation danced along to, and the only thing they notice about you re-doing it are your abs, you’ve got a problem. Jacqueline does look sizzling so may be that’s something.

Brownie points to Jacqueline and the people behind #Baaghi2 for completely ruining nostalgia, and innocent fun in one fell swoop.

She's catty, and she doesn't mince words. Leaves scratch marks in her wake. Definitely not for the faint-hearted.
