Bandra Gets A Hip New Organic Bistro And It’s Pretty Cool!
Move over, burgers and fries. It’s time to give your system some respite from all the rich food you’ve been consuming every day. Eating well and eating right is the new-age mantra, so we couldn’t be happier about the opening of the hip new organic bistro and juice bar Sequel in Mumbai this weekend.
Run by the former COO of a media company, Vanika Choudhary says her bistro is going to be serving up 100% gluten-free meals.

When Choudhary quit her corporate job to take a little break, she finally came around to fulfilling her deepest ambition. She had always wanted to open up a restaurant that served healthy food and made people conscious about what they ate. While quitting her job was a big decision, it seems like her new venture is guaranteed to take off. Why? Well, the food at her bistro is prepared with top-quality ingredients and is going to be extremely nutritious and sustaining.

As if that wasn’t enough, Sequel also boasts of a cold-press juice bar — the first in Mumbai. While here, be prepared to down glasses of fresh and healthy fruit and vegetable-based smoothies that will leave you feeling light and refreshed. All the ingredients that go into the preparation of their meals and beverages are organic and come from various farms in Maharashtra. What’s more, nutritious grains like flax seeds, chia seeds, amaranth and more are used instead of regular grains.

The predominantly vegetarian menu includes dishes like the Pretty in Pink salad (with rolled smoked Norwegian salmon, avocado, romaine lettuce, Florence fennel, green apple, pickled baby radish and red rice wine vinaigrette), Himalayan Wild Black Rice and a variety of freshly blended smoothies. The bistro also plans on selling homemade goodies like crackers, nut butters, and granola bars. Provided you give them a 24 hour notice period, they will even bake you some fresh artisanal bread. We can’t wait to try out this promising new place.
