Try A Smoothie Diet To Get A Flat Belly!

Living life on the go has really helped my career and professional life, but when it comes to my weight,  well, that’s been quite the struggle. If resorting to a vada pav or a samosa between meetings and deadlines is showing up on your hips with a vengeance, then a smoothie diet is just for you!

The smoothie diet is known for quick and easy weight loss and the effects can be seen early, since it is low in calories. Add in the right foods and it’s a nutritious treat that can work well to aid your weight loss efforts. We would recommend replacing meals with a smoothie. Be warned though, this isn’t a long term solution, just something you can try before a wedding! Think of this as a quick solution. Chances are, when you go back to wholesome food, some of the weight does come back.

Having said that, there are several tips for a great smoothie, and they’re the secret behind their effectiveness:

1. Stick to a maximum of 2 fruits only, in order to avoid the overload of sugar. Choose one high-sugar fruit like a banana, mango, pineapple and one low-sugar fruit like berries, kiwi, dragon fruit, etc.

2. Fill it up with handfuls of greens like spinach, kale, cucumber, etc.

3. Don’t forget to add the healthy fats like flax seeds, peanut butter, avocado, almond butter, cashews, coconut oil, etc. Fats are essential for your body to absorb nutrients and keep your skin healthy.

4. Thicken it since it is the best way to eat less and feel full for a longer time. Chia seeds are perfect for every smoothie since they are high in fiber and can keep you full for longer.

5. Add spices and herbs to add flavor to your drink. Make sure you look forward to having it not just to lose weight but because you actually enjoy it.
