The Wristband That’s Motivating Meghana
It’s the beginning of a bright new week and my newsfeed is flooded with all kinds of #MondayMotivation quotes. Invariably, Mondays are about optimism and setting personal goals. And here I am, all motivated to get my workout regime in place. But considering how lazy I am, all I can trust myself to do is to walk around and maybe stretch a little! This is exactly where Fitbit comes to my rescue. * Yay*
With the onset of the festive season, I can visualise what the next few months will look like — with sinful food all around me (read: calories). And as they say, precaution is better than cure, right? So I’d better start my affair with the fitbit wristband, like right now. Apart from tracking the number of steps walked and the counting the calories burned daily, it also comes loaded with features that helps one to relax. Based on my heartbeat, it comes with personalised guided breathing sessions to ease out stress. Sounds like this one’s going to be my new BFF!
Not only does it show you the calories you’ve burnt through the day, but it also works as a mini smartwatch. When connected with the phone, I can see my call, text, and calendar notifications on the fitbit screen itself. It definitely earns an extra brownie point with the silent vibrating alarm feature. Now my family won’t complain about my alarm waking up the entire household every morning! Also, every morning I get to see if my body got enough sleep to re-energise itself. This fitbit definitely looks like my next favourite accessory. Wait, I’d rather call it my Man-Friday, one which motivates to bring out the best in me!
