DIY: How To Make Ripped Jeans
I’m sure your parents and grandparents give you the weird eye every time you wear those “torn” clothes, but the rebel in you still clicked on this link to learn how to make ripped jeans, and flaunt the latest denim trend.
Ripped jeans are super easy to make, and barely cost anything, especially if you are up-cycling an old pair. Here are a few easy steps that you can follow to create your own pair of ripped jeans, right from the comforts of your home!
Things You Need:
- A pair of old jeans
Steps To Follow:
Step 1: Wear your pair of ripped jeans and stand in front of a mirror in order to mark all the areas where you would want to create the ripped effect. Use a chalk for this instead of a pen/pencil, so that the marks can be rubbed off later.
Step 2: Take a pair of sharp scissors and cut slits ofvarious lengths at the marks that you created.
Step 3: Use a pair of tweezers to remove the vertical strands of thread from the slits.
Step 4: Pull on the strands to loosen the area and keep plucking the strands till you can’t go any further.
Step5: Once you are satisfied with how your jeans look, toss them in the washing machine in order to get a rugged look; the threads will come loose further.
Voila! You are all set to rock this pair of ripped denim jeans!
