#HauteSpaces: The Classroom, Gurugram Will Take You Back To Your Childhood!
Who doesn’t love a pretty home/work space? I know the answer to that one. So now, every week, I will go in search for the most stunning indoor spaces in our country that will inspire the inner decorator in you. Unique, colourful, or quirky, these photo stories are sure to leave you spellbound, like mouth-hanging-open spellbound. If you know or use a space that fits the description, ping me and we can chat! It can be anything from a home to an office, a studio to a restaurant — if it is fun, I’m game.
Our darling lifestyle writer, Japleen, is away on holiday right now, and even though I’m reading her articles so I miss her less, I’m excited to bring you this week’s haute new space that’s caught our eye.
As you know, every week, there’s a whole gamut of new joints that open up, especially in a hot and happening area like Gurugram. But what happens is that they all have the same, intentionally grunge, disheveled décor, which, after the first time, loses charm. Because a dreary, dingy little restro space is totally my idea of the perfect dining experience — YAWN!
Thankfully, there’s a cool new joint called The Classroom that takes your favourite childhood memories and sets them against the backdrop of a typical school classroom. Spread over 3 floors plus terrace in an area of 12,000sq ft, The Classroom has a carefully thought-out design and ambience that aims to make you nostalgic and happy!
Once you enter The Classroom, get ready to immerse yourself completely in a nostalgic, back-to-school throwback.
The décor does full justice to our sunny childhood memories with blackboards, desks, and chairs — holla if you were a backbencher like me! What’s especially cool is the tiny details like mischievous messages on the boards and walls, including ‘FLAMES’ (OMG, remember?).
What’s more, if you were the kind of kid who would bunk class for any excuse, you’ll dig the games room too, that’s complete with carrom, billiard, foosball, and more.
So scroll through and take a walk down memory lane!
