#HauteSpaces: Studio BnB Is A Rare Space That Has Character And Class

Who doesn’t love a pretty home/work space? I know the answer to that one. So now, every week, I will go in search of the most stunning indoor spaces in our country that will inspire the inner decorator in you. Unique, colourful, or quirky, these photo stories are sure to leave you spellbound, like mouth-hanging-open spellbound. If you know or use a space that fits the description, ping me and we can chat! It can be anything from a home to an office, a studio to a restaurant — if it is fun, I’m game.

Airbnb has taken over the world and has taken away all our accommodation worries. There are more than enough Airbnb apartments that we can check off our travel list, but this week, we feature one that is making the financial capital talk.

Right in the heart of Mumbai, in the bylanes of posh Bandra, celebrity interior designer, Ravi Vizrani hosts a gorgeous space called Studio BnB. This month-old property is a breath of fresh air among the overdone and over-quirky apartments.

Ravi’s apartment, which is an extension of his design studio, is a one-bedroom-kitchen space, perfect for those who are looking for some quiet time.

Washed in monochrome shades, Studio BnB is black and white and, just like life, a little grey here and there. Striped cushions, a coffee table, a shiny black centrepiece, lamps and drawers — if you love black, then this your haven.

You will also find hues of brown breaking the monochrome monotony, like in the old school pickle jars in the kitchen or in the rims of the window, guarded by off-white curtains, letting plenty of sunshine in.

But, you know why you should book a stay here? Well, apart from the fact that Karan Johar’s interior designer has designed it, it’s because of the art that dresses the space.

Ravi has curated a small collection of artists, including photographs by Neville Sukhia, Shahid Datawala, and Rehaan Engineer; 2 art pieces from Project88; and Sulaiman Merchant’s series on dogs. So, at any given time, you will be welcomed by art everywhere, pieces you can even purchase.

Priced at around Rs 5,400 a night for 3 people, it is a deal that you can’t resist! But if you like to party and want to turn up the noise, then please stay away, as this is a quiet neighbourhood for those who just want to unwind.

Also, please notice the adorable blue typewriter. Please?
