#HauteSpaces: Mocha Is Back With New Interiors And Addictive Coffee

Who doesn’t love a pretty home/work space? I know the answer to that one. So now, every week I will go in search of the most stunning indoor spaces in our country that will inspire the inner decorator in you. Unique, colourful, or quirky, these photo stories are sure to leave you spellbound, like mouth-hanging-open spellbound. If you know or use a space that fits the description, ping me and we can chat! It can be anything from a home to an office, a studio to a restaurant — if it is fun, I’m game.

A name that pours in memories and makes every coffee lover nostalgic is Mocha. The iconic coffee shop stayed with us throughout our childhood and we genuinely missed its presence. Yes, I have use the word ‘miss’ in the past tense because it is back and with a loud bang. Riyaaz Amlani, the certified king of the restaurant world, finally decided to go back to his baby and open a brand new outlet in Telangana. And it’s nothing like the old version.

Going green seems to be notion now and restaurants have increasingly started incorporating more of Mother Nature in their spaces. Following suit, Mocha has a similar décor that incorporates many plants, but somehow, it still stands out. The space has been divided into 2 sections — an al fresco area and inner cosy seating area. A huge space with glass ceilings ensures that you get the best of both — plenty of sunlight and once night falls, a view of the twinkling stars as well. Surrounded by trees are long wooden tables with sofa-like seating, complete with matching green cushions. There are bar stools for those who prefer more than just the caffeine drink. But the part that will steal all your attention is the lotus pool that has a wooden panel around it, where you can sit and have some heart-to-heart conversations. Sigh.

Tiled floors welcome you inside where the interiors are more intimate. Wooden panels, (much like the Texan West) line the windows, in sync with the tables. Adding a pop of colour are the saffron sofas that border the room, breaking the brown like rays of sunshine. A genius stroke is the use of ladders on the ceiling with drop lights, which have also become a trend, FYI, making the whole ambience warm and perfect for date night.
