This Diwali, Decorate Your Home With Fairy Lights

This Diwali, Decorate Your Home With Fairy Lights

We are halfway through October and that means one thing — the festival of lights is just around the corner! It’s the time when spring cleaning is in full swing and the only thing that loses weight is your wallet. *rolls eyes* Apart from personal makeovers (read: Diwali shopping spree), our homes get the much needed makeover at this time of the year as well.

This time, add fairy lights to the list of your décor items you need to shop, and trust me, your Diwali is sure to get a lot brighter. Diyas and candles have their own charm, but if you’re someone who wants a permanent décor solution or you don’t have the time to light them everyday, then these string lights come handy. Plus, if you stay alone and want to spice up your rooms, there’s nothing better than these!

So far, we’ve been usually using fairy lights to decorate our windows and doors, but these pretty things can be used in a lot of innovative ways. Here are a few ways to deck-up your room with these lights. Pretty, bright, and oh-so-easy!

1. Light up your bed frames

You don’t need to have a fancy frame like this one, but you can make any regular, boring one look amazing by adding some fairy lights.

2. Make everyday objects shine

Anything, and I mean just about anything (except humans!), can look great with these lights wrapped around them. Try mirrors, books, vases, bags, photo frames, and so on!

3. Dazzle up your shelves

Shelves themselves are décor masterpieces, but there is no harm to dress them up, once in a while, right?

4. Sleep under a starry night

Who doesn’t like staring at a sky full of stars (we love Coldplay!) everyday? Only if that was possible! Well now you can make your very own starry sky by using these cuties!

5. Jazz up the jars

If there’s one décor item that has been trending this year, it’s a mason jar. You can paint, fill them up with jellies, or best, just put some fairy lights in them. Let it shine bright!

6. Pictures on the wall

If you’re looking at saving some serious money, without compromising on aesthetic, then help is at hand. Pin up your pictures on fairy lights. It looks beautiful and classy without burning a hole in your pocket.
