#HauteSounds: Prateek Kuhad’s Soulful New Song Will Make You Nostalgic

By  |

After days of throwing teasers at us, Prateek Kuhad has finally released his new single and, let me tell you, it was worth the wait. If soulful narratives touch you, then this one will make your day.

Tum Jab Paas takes you back to school, takes you back to the innocence of young love, for most of us, the first one. The passing of chits, sharing your tiffin boxes, doodling in notebooks, using roses as bookmarks, playing marbles, FLAMES, waiting for a call on the landline, and so many more beautiful moments that were integral parts of your growing up years — Kuhad depicts them adorably.

It starts with 2 teenagers growing up together, but somehow, the long distance relationship goes awry. It is a journey, shown in 3.5 minutes, with fantastic visuals. The song is truly Prateek — light, acoustic, and fairytale-like.

And the video is a treat to the eyes. Using the concept of flat lays and animation, the guys at CATNIP have done a kickass job with it. Trust me, you won’t be able to watch it just once and will definitely be reminiscing about your first crush.

Think I’m exaggerating? Watch the video below and tell me if you think I’m wrong!
