#HauteSounds: This Week’s Top 6 New Tracks

After a point, we all get bored of listening to the same music. Sure, there are a couple of tracks that will always remain evergreen. But let’s face it: we tend to take to the resourceful internet every now and then to find out what the coolest new songs and albums are. I do it all the time.

In fact, my playlist is an essential part of my phone. I just need to listen to my favourite songs while I commute to work every day. From the oldest classics to the hot new numbers hitting the charts, I love to keep myself updated on all things music. So I thought I’d save you the trouble of doing the same. So, here’s a list of the 6 best songs of the past week, which I absolutely loved and hope you will too.

So keep scrolling and start listening to these new numbers, STAT.

1. Wait — Ryan Hemsworth ft. Keaton Henson & Mitski

This new collaboration has got everybody talking. If you want to listen to something soft and soothing, this is it! You don’t need to go anywhere else. The vocals provided by Mitski and Henson are almost hypnotic and will have you dreaming of faraway lands. It’s the perfect song if you want to unwind after a long day.

2. Hands — Various Artists

Following the gruesome Orlando nightclub shooting recently, 24 celebrities came together for this brilliant new song. Titled Hands, everyone from Jennifer Lopez and Mary J Blige to Jason Derulo and Gwen Stefani are part of this track. The song is about how a million hands together can change the world. This one is sure to leave you with goosebumps.

3. Hype — Dizzee Rascal feat. Calvin Harris

Need a song to pep you up? Want to bust some moves? Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris’s new collaboration is just what you need. With catchy beats and a super quick tempo, this is one of those tracks that DJs will play on loop at nightclubs everywhere!

4. Free Love — Vic Mensa feat. Halsey, Le1f, Lil B & Malik Yusef

This song is not only catchy but also meaningful. True to its name, the song talks about free love, wondering whatever happened to this phenomenon. The bass pattern and the chords are bound to strike a chord. Celebrate free love, with this wonderful song.

5. Big Cat — Wild Beasts

Big Cat is the second release from Wild Beasts’ upcoming album, Boy King. The beats are super catchy and something you can groove to as well. The video, on the other hand, features blazing cars, thunderstorms, and tough-looking animals. Check it out already!
