The Floral Fragrance That Makes Farozan Oh-So-Happy!

I’m a firm believer in the restorative powers of beauty products. Sure, I depend on modern medicine to cure my ailments, but for the battles of the mind, I rely on my trusty makeup kit. Whether it’s a swipe of a bold red lipstick to hide a bad mood or using my favourite exfoliator after a crappy day, or even a hint of blush to make me look less corpse-like and more human, beauty products are the cure to what ails me on any given day.

One constant in my repertoire has been Clinique’s Happy Heart — a fragrance I’ve been using since I was an angsty teen — and I’ve never strayed from it for too long.

Clinique Happy Heart

Launched in 2003, Happy Heart is a riff on Clinique’s bestselling fragrance Happy. It maintains the freshness of the original but replaces the citrus notes with a gorgeous touch of warm floral notes of mandarin, yellow primrose and water hyacinth, and a base of blond wood. It’s pretty, feminine and kinda sexy without being seductive, which in my opinion makes it a perfect everyday fragrance.

True to its name, it takes just a few spritzes to elevate my mood. It is happiness in a bottle if I ever sniffed it. My best way to describe it is to say it’s not a juvenile fragrance, nor is it very grown up. It’s perfect for that transitional phase of life that every 20-something girl finds herself in. Go ahead and give it a try. It’ll brighten up your day!
