The Zara Products Hauterfly Editors Are Loving Right Now

We’re fashion junkies here at Hauterfly HQ and that’s no secret. Spending hours discussing what’s new, why a product is a potential hit, which celeb aced her look, is just another day in the life of a Hauterfly editor. Apart from that, we’re also high street brand sleuths and are always on the lookout for chic products that eventually make it to our closets (and yours!). So naturally, one of our all-time favourite brands is Zara. The Spanish label’s ultra chic clothing and accessories make us swoon every time the stock is refreshed. So much so, that when I got my colleagues to dish on the two products that they would buy from Zara, they already had their lists ready!

Here’s our list of 10 Zara products, all below Rs 4,000, that are our absolute favourites right now.

Zara ACCORDION PLEAT SKIRT_Hauterfly

1. Accordion Pleat Skirt (Rs 3,990)
Pleated skirts are all the rage for fall, and this gorgeous, jewel-coloured midi is perfect for the party season. I can wear it with a velvet camisole top for a house party, or style it with a lacy pullover and heeled ankle boots for a chilly, outdoor evening.

Zara SHINY LOAFERS_Hauterfly

2. Shiny Loafers (Rs 2,890)
Don’t get me wrong: Like most girls I love a stunning pair of heels. But as I’ve grown older, comfort has become more important to me than suffering all night in a pair of sky-high heels. Which is why chic party flats are a must-have in my wardrobe regardless of the season. Right now, I’m loving these shiny loafers as they’re bound to go with everything. Be it basic black pants for a work-to-party kind of day, or with a leather mini skirt for an evening out!

BACKPACK WITH FOLDOVER FLAP_Hauterfly

3. Backpack With Foldover Flap (Rs 1,890)
Anyone who knows me knows that I love blurring sartorial gender lines. I prefer wearing sneakers instead of heels and carrying backpacks instead of clutches, and that’s why I love this cool accessory. No metallic details, no studs, just a plain white backpack with a flap that speaks to my minimalist leanings. I’ll pair it with a monochrome crop top, denim joggers, and floral sneakers for a casual outing.

V Neck Tunic_Hauterfly

4. V-Neck Tunic (Rs 2,990)
This terracotta-hued tunic is simple yet snazzy. I love the metallic detail on the neckline — it’s neither too little nor too much. With boyfriend denims cuffed at the ankle and a pair of brogues, it’s a look that would go well with some minimal gold accessories, a watch, a chic tote, and not to forget my current fave hairdo: the half-up bun.

LEATHER MESSENGER BAG WITH METAL DETAIL_Hauterfly

5. Leather Messenger Bag With Metal Detail (Rs 2,890)
The combination of suede and feathered metallic detail on this bag gives it a boho, earth-child feel that I’m totally digging. I love it when my bags have a metal strap. Give me anything that’s got a tribal feel to it and consider it sold.

CRYSTAL EARRINGS_Hauterfly

6. Crystal Earrings (Rs 990)
I am more of a piercings-tattoo sort of girl (although I don’t have tattoos for religious reasons) so I’ve always gravitated towards edgy earrings. When it comes to jewellery, my taste is pretty sorted. If it’s gold, it has to be minimal, but with any other metal it’s got to be a chunky, edgy and statement-making. I love these crystal earrings because they’re blingy and are made of gunmetal. I love the assortment of ear cuffs because it gives me the choice to dress up one ear and go subtle on the other so as to balance out my piercings.

DRESS WITH FAUX LEATHER COLLAR_Hauterfly

7. Dress With Faux Leather Collar (Rs 2,490)
One product that’s definitely worth spending my money on — an LBD. And this one is a combination of chic and sexy. I love the addition of the faux leather collar to accentuate the dress. You can totally team this dress with different accessories and get varied looks. Come to think of it, it’s a pretty versatile piece as I can think of a number of occasions to wear it to.

PENCIL SKIRT WITH RUFFLE_Hauterfly

8. Pencil Skirt With Ruffle (Rs 1,290)
This ruffled pencil skirt is so stylish — I love the front slit, as it gives off a glam touch. A good thing about a black skirt is that I can team it with any top. An elegant black skirt is what’s missing in my wardrobe right now, so it’s time for me to add this ASAP.

GEOMETRIC TOTE_Hauterfly

9. Geometric Tote (Rs 2,290)
I fell in love with this geometric tote the minute I saw it because it is a classic black piece that’s far from boring. It’s edgy, and something I’d love to carry daily to work. Another thing that I love about this tote is that it’s big enough to fit in all my essentials without seeming too bulky.

HIGH HEEL SHOES WITH METAL DETAIL_Hauterfly

10. High Heel Shoes With Metal Detail (Rs 2,290)
I love shoes to the point that I could sleep in them. Especially if it’s a pair of heels that look like these. You can wear them a zillion times with different outfits and you’ll never look the same. That’s the beauty of owning a classic pair of shoes. Style them right and you’re good to go!
