The Off-Shoulder Dress Simi Will Have In Heavy Rotation
If you’re among the blessed girls who have toned shoulders, this is your year. Because the off-shoulder trend is such a big hit right now. Runways across the globe have given this trend a nod — Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schoulder, Edun, you name it and there’s gorgeous off-the-shoulder piece to turn you on.
From cold-shoulder tops that allow just that peek-a-boo or the full-on Bardot dress, this shoulder-baring trend is also perfect for the season. Personally, I love off-shoulder dresses — they’re feminine and stylish, and you can work one perfectly both at college/work or on an evening out. And just as I was on the lookout for a perfect off-shoulder number, I spotted this pretty floral dress from one of my favourite indie labels.
While aimlessly scrolling through Facebook on Saturday night, a post from Quirkbox popped up on my screen. Voila! There it was — this chic off-shoulder floral dress that looks exactly like the one I’ll be adding to my wardrobe soon. A cinched waist number with floral print all over it, this dress is made of viscose chanderi and will flatter any body type.
Also, this is a multi-functional piece. You can wear it as an off-shoulder piece or work it as a regular shift dress — wear it as you please. For those of you who think off-shoulder outfits aren’t appropriate for work, this dress is a perfect work-to-post work drinks outfit. And what’s best is it’s quite affordable. Let’s go back to every point I made and think of a reason why this dress should not be bought. Didn’t find any, did you?
