The Clutch That Is Baishali’s Indulgence For The Festive Season

I admit it — I have too many bags. Totes, purses, clutches, you name it. I went through a bag-obsessed phase and my mother and sister very lovingly indulged this disorder. Even after I outgrew it. Which means my closet is bursting at the seams with bags of various shapes and sizes. And while I don’t buy bags as obsessively as I used to a few years ago, I still find it hard to resist when I see a pretty one — I am, after all, human.

So this week, while I was scouring the net to put together a look for Boi’s Budget Buys, Zahra introduced me to this brand called Princesse K, available on Pernia’s Popup Shop. It was only a matter of time before I lost all control. Although, in my defence, the festive season is upon us and I need to buy new, pretty things – mother’s orders! I saw this one and immediately knew I had to have it. Why? Just look at the colour!

 

 

Apart from the the beautiful hue, it’s the embellishment that won me over. It’s blingy yet subtle, which works perfectly for me — I’m a simple soul *nods sagely*. And, very importantly, unlike other clutches that can hold one kajal pencil and my keys (and that’s it!) this one is spacious — read: fill it to the brim with makeup, keys, phone, etc. The nylon fabric is soft to touch and honestly, this one goes just as well with my jeans and tee as it does with my sari. It’s a little steep, but hey, ’tis the season to splurge, right?
