Simi’s Pristine White Dress Is Totally Summer-Ready
I can never think in just black and white. So much so that I am actually wary of people whose wardrobes are without any colour. While I’m all up for minimalism in clothing, I think people end up mistaking minimalism for a complete lack of colour. That said, I also think that summer is best defined in pristine white… and every girl must own one dress that spells all things summer.
While looking for my next pick to add to the weekly Haute List, I wanted something that has a free-spirited bohemian vibe to it. And a neutral dress that was free-flowing and fun was the order of the day. Basically, I wanted a piece that embodied the carefree days of summer.
And that’s when I came across this lovely panelled dress from Mango. The pristine white colour is what drew me in almost immediately. I love the embroidery at the bodice; the blue thread work is a perfect contrast and really adds a boho chic touch to the garment. Also, when you think about summers in India, you will only dare to step out of your home in lightweight, breathable fabrics that doesn’t bog you down during the day. And that’s exactly what this viscose dress does: It allows you to work that no fuss, easy-breezy vibe perfectly.
What’s more, the cords to tie at the neckline have tasselled detailing — s0 70s! Even the elastic cuffs add to the bohemian feel of the garment. While it totally works as a dress to wear for a Saturday noon outing with the gal pals, it can also double up for a brunch date with the boyfriend. Planning your summer wardrobe already? Here’s something that fits in perfectly!
