Last evening, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a gala reception organised by the British Asian Trust at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, which was attended by the who’s who of the city’s social order — Bollywood celebrities, industrialists, politicians, et al. And as expected, it broke the internet. Everything about Kate Middleton generates massive interest, be it the trends she takes to, her sartorial choices, or even the accessories she teams her attire with.

While most of us were anticipating it, I’ve got to say I was pleasantly surprised when Kate favoured an outfit by this Indian designer while attending a charity cricket match with children at the Oval Maidan yesterday. But just when I thought that’s all the Indian-ness she’d opt for while on tour here, the Duchess worked a stunning pair of Lapis and diamond drop earrings from Amrapali for the gala event. She teamed this with a royal blue Jenny Packham beaded gown, elegantly draped with a cape.
