Seldom do we see Bollywood actresses promote body positivity. So it is always a welcome change when we see actresses of differing shapes in the industry. Ileana D’Cruz is one of the few actresses in Bollywood who has openly addressed her body image issues. The actress flaunts a curvier frame and for years was not only bullied for it, but also caused her to think of her shape as out-of-the-ordinary. She overcame that eventually, and today speaks openly about body dysmorphia and the need to have open and encouraging conversations about body positivity. It’s not far off from the truth to today say that she serves as serious fashion inspiration for real women around the country.

 

When it comes to styling for curvy women, prints, especially stripes, are rather difficult to work with. Well, let Ileana show you how it’s done. For a recent event, the actress was seen wearing a striped, co-ordinated pant suit. A pair of striped, wide-leg culottes were paired with a long line, striped, tuxedo-style blazer. She paired the set with a lacy bralet.

 

The bralet showed just the right amount of skin, and accentuated the tiniest part of her waist. The wide-leg pants balanced the shoulders, further giving an illusion of a tiny torso. The vertical stripes also created an elongating and slimming illusion.

 

She styled the look with PVC heels, which made her legs look longer. She further accessorised the look with a bunch of stacked midi rings and a pair of statement gold earrings. Her hair was gathered in a ponytail with side-swept bangs, and nude lips and a fresh face of makeup gave the finishing touches to her look.
