#HauteStreets: Exploring The Vibrant Streets Of Jaipur

The royal and majestic city of Jaipur is not just known for its rich history, but also for its local arts and crafts, fusion fashion, and colourful bazaars. That’s exactly why the pink city is our next stop for #HauteStreets.

Style in Jaipur is traditional, yet ever-evolving. The city is known for its gota patti work, tie-dye, block prints and chunky jewellery made of precious and semi-precious stones. We got ace designer Anita Dongre to tell us why Jaipur is the muse for all her collections. Watch on as she describes how she uses the traditional Rajasthani craft of gota patti in her bridal line. Not just that, our host Scherezade Shroff Talwar also goes through the popular street markets in Jaipur such as Johri Bazaar, Bapu Bazaar and more!

Aakanksha and Tarang Arora of the iconic heritage brand Amrapali describe the brand’s journey, along with Jaipur’s love affair with jewellery, while fashion blogger Shivani Sharma gives you an insight into the style of the quintessential Jaipur girl.

This episode also features Avriti Jain, a Jaipur-based designer and owner of the brand Dhora. She talks about how she’s given quintessential Jaipur jewellery a twist.

Last but not the least, designers Rahul and Shikha from the brand Vrisa, who take great pride in the city’s craftsmanship and draw inspiration from the nomads of Rajasthan, explain how they use the good old hand embroidery techniques on outfits with modern silhouettes.

Phew! Now that is a lot of stuff packed into one powerful episode! Don’t you think? So, grab your popcorn, and watch on!
