Here’s What Hauterfly Editors Want For Christmas!

Just three days left for us to scout under the X-Mas tree, find those gifts and unwrap them, enjoy family time over sumptuous dinner and sip some amazing wine. Yes, Christmas is here. And the best part about this season is, you get to hone the art of gift giving. But while you’re deciding what to buy for others, you also have to pamper yourself, right? So we decided to ask Hauterfly editors what is on their Christmas wishlist, at an affordable Rs 3,000. Read on to know what we’d like to gift ourselves this Christmas!

ZAHRA KHAN — EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Fur is a major trend for Fall 2015, and seeing those lush pellets on coats, scarves and accessories all over the international catwalks has me wanting something fluffy to hold on to this party season. Of course, I’d never buy real fur, but a faux one? Hell yeah! A nice way to introduce some faux fur into your wardrobe is via a cool clutch — and I think this navy one can go with pretty much every outfit. Also, love that adorable little pom-pom and tassel detail!

I love Christmas… everything from carol singing, decorating the tree, watching Nativity tableaus, filling up gifts in stockings for my niece, decking up and meeting friends and family, and obviously the excess shopping. Most importantly, I like how almost everyone’s working shimmer in their clothes and make-up, because it’s also officially party season. That’s why, I’m going to buy this shimmer halter dress from Zara. It’s stylish, has just the right amount of glitz, and is super affordable. Accessorised with a pair of ankle boots and a leather jacket to beat the cold and I’m good to go!

I love costume jewellery — the chunkier the better. The obvious trend is to pair it with traditional linen outfits or only wear it at music festivals. However, I don’t see why this antique necklace can’t work with my everyday outfits. It is dainty and chunky in the right proportions, and I’m hoping someone takes the cue and drops it in my stocking on Christmas Eve!

Knee-length skirts have a pretty special place in my wardrobe. I love how I can create different looks while keeping this skirt constant. Since prints are a lot more fun to play around with, this one skirt is something I’m definitely picking up for Christmas, not to mention it’s super affordable!

I love block heels, and I think this is one of the best I’ve found in a long time. The hue is perfect, and tan works well with most outfits. Even the design is very subtle as well as chic.
