#HauteList: The Best Of Fashion In June 2017
Every day is a new and stylish day in the fashion biz. In fact, it is never far from surprising, sometimes wow-worthy and other times sigh-inducing. From changing and reviving trends to fresh fashion collaborations, funky new launches or even relaunches, or even shocking disclosures of designers quitting storied labels for new ones, there’s so much buzz on a day-to-day basis.
But while some of the information is noteworthy, there are the BIG scoops that shape the future of the industry. And that’s exactly what we’re here to share with you.
In our monthly Best of Fashion series, we round up some of the best new releases, collabs, launches, and the works of fashion. This is everything you NEED to know.
1. Kendall Jenner For adidas
This Kardashian sister joined in as the new face of sports behemoth, adidas. After unveiling her own line of athleisure with baby sis Kylie, Kendall is ready to be part of the adidas family. With celebrities and athletes, such as Messi, Pharell, Selena Gomez, and even Jenner’s own bro-in-law already having done it, we can only hope that Kendall will launch her own line with the adidas soon!
2. Nicobar in Bandra
Nicobar opened its doors to Bandra, launching their second store in Mumbai. The 1,200 sq.ft. space is based inside the century-old landmark in Bandra, Patkar Bungalow — classy, vintage, minimalistic, all reflective of the brand’s philosophy. With high-rise ceilings and white-washed walls, this 7-room store will take you through a beautiful journey.
3. Rheson Gets Emoji-fied
Sister duo Sonam and Rhea Kapoor launched their fashion label with Shoppers Stop last month, but this month, they went all out and added a new collection to it, and it’s just too darn adorable. The emoji collection consists of graphics every millenial will relate to — from fries and avocados to smiley faces. With prints of the virtual emoticons on the apparel, this is one ‘cool’ collection!
4. Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik
From good girl Carrie to bad girl RiRi, everyone loves to slip their feet into these shoes. Designer shoe label, Manolo Blahnik has collaborated with Rihanna to create a sparkling collection. ‘So Stoned’ is bling central and has jewel-toned stones embellished on the pairs. Elegant and regal, getting ‘So Stoned’ couldn’t look more glamorous than this!
5. Louboutin’s Nude Collection
The maestro of shoes, Christian Louboutin has come up with a nude collection of shoes that break the norm. The description of ‘nude’ has been an issue in fashion for the longest time ever. The brand’s philosophy goes by the mantra of “Nude is not a colour, it’s a concept” and that’s clearly what this is all about. This collection basically incorporates nudes of all skin colours across the banner, making it a lot more accessible for everyone.
