Editor’s Pick: Simi’s Tasseled Leather Flats
Another #TuesdayShoesday and all that’s on my mind is a pair of comfortable flats. Who am I inspired by this time around? None other than Victoria Beckham. Surprised!? It’s no secret that Mrs. Beckham is a lover of sky-high heels. But it seems her Spring Summer 2016 collection got her out of that comfort zone. The spotlight was on flatter-than-flat shoes.
You know those days when you want to ditch heels and take to flats because you want to silence that annoying voice in your head that goes: “Ouch! These heels hurt!”? I feel you! Some days you just want to be comfortable in the shoes you fill in. And if I had to suggest a perfect combination of style and comfort, it’d be a pair of mules without heels. I love mule shoes, and that’s why Beckham’s collection caught my fancy: It was filled with monochromatic mules minus heels. Even Haider Ackermann showcased similar pairs of slip-on flats, and trust me when they look oh-so-chic. No doubt then that slip-on flats are a trending pair for the next season. Bring it on, I say! You can wear it to office as well as on a lazy Sunday. Whether you dress it with cropped jeans and a breezy top or your work trousers and a plaid shirt, a pair of flat mules is what you need to stock up in your shoe closet stat.
Zebba Tassel Detail Leather Flat Shoes
I found this smart pair of flat-soled slip-on shoes in tan on Koovs, and I knew this would be my next pick. Just the pair you need to keep up with this footwear trend. The tassels on the front add some chic detailing. So versatile! Wear it with your western outfits or work them with that ethnic suit. A basic pair but quite classy, no?
