Editor’s Pick: Zahra’s Minimalist Antler Necklace

Editor’s Pick: Zahra’s Minimalist Antler Necklace

I love minimalist jewellery with personality. And that’s exactly what I found in this transfixing piece by jewellery designer Kichu Dandiya. A unisex necklace, the Antlr is not a new discovery but something I’ve been eyeing for a very long time. Part of her animal series (which includes a shark tooth that’s also on my #HauteList), I love the raw minimalism of the piece as it has the ability to hold its own in a sea of overly decorated jewels.

Interestingly, the designer herself is quite the lady about town, calling Mumbai, Goa and Jaipur her homes. She often shuttles to Jaipur to create her primal, contemporary collections made of solid brass and plated with gold and silver. An alum of the elite Central St Martin’s College of Design in London (other notable Indian alums include Gaurav Gupta, Kallol Dutta, and Amit Aggarwal), the avant-garde designer’s bold approach to classical forms using her uniquely minimalist design language is truly amazing.

If you’re looking for a statement piece that’s going to be the talk of the party this season, this is my top suggestion.
