Editor’s Pick: Simi’s Sporty Chic Wrist Candy

There are some days when you want to step out of home without any accessory — no cuff, bangle or bracelet. And on other days, you don’t want to rely on your cellphone to tell the time. It’s no doubt then that a good watch is a wardrobe must-have for every woman. I personally feel it’s essential for every girl to have a collection of watches for various occasions. Because a smart wrist candy can be instrumental in elevating your look despite the ensemble you wear.

You could wear an LBD, a lovely all black wrist watch and a pair of white sneakers for a chic look. Or even try the athleisure trend by adding a sporty time piece to your jogger pants and tank top. Trust me, you’re bound to look oh-so-cool. I’d totally count on having a watch in every size: a sleek one, a more masculine-looking piece, one for all-things-feminine, and another when you want to look downright adventurous. You must own a pair for different times.

Daniel Wellington Classic Oxford 36 mm Watch

And that brings me to my pick of the week. A preppy time piece I’ve had my eyes on for a while now is this Classic Oxford Watch by Daniel Wellington. My kind of sporty watch is no where close to looking chunky; it’s got to be but something classic and minimalistic. And that’s reason enough for me to love this one. It’s chic, isn’t it?

A classic round 36 mm white-dial watch with an iconic NATO strap that’s 18 mm in width, I like how the red and blue strap adds to the natty look of the watch. While it’s the hardware is stainless steel, the rose gold plating on it balances the sporty look with a slightly feminine vibe. I think this is one super sleek piece and makes for a perfect accessory no matter the occasion. This is probably going to be my new favourite accessory to wear to work everyday!
