The Monokini That’s More Than Swim Worthy For Tatiana
Yes, I am aware that summer isn’t here yet, but that doesn’t stop me from chilling by the beach and sipping my beer, now does it? The cold currents might be taking over bits of the country, but in certain cities it is still pleasantly warm during the daytime…which is pretty much all we require to hit the waves. With that being said, the holiday season still resonates with some of us, myself included, and as we all take mini city breaks and head-off to the coastal shores of Goa or Kerala, we do deserve to enjoy it with style. I recall reading a study that showed that a majority of swimwear worn by women in America was essentially purchased for aesthetics rather than purpose, and the fabric didn’t even touch water when worn! Putting it out there that I am NOT one of those people and while I enjoy my fair share of swifting through the waters, I do like my swimwear to be fashionable eye-candy! And if I am not wearing it by the sea, there’s nothing that’s stopping me from styling it as a top!
As much as I’d love to sport a two-piece bikini on special occasions, I am a lot more comfortable in a one-piece, as I won’t have to worry of strings and strands falling off (we’ve all had a wardrobe malfunction moment with this, haven’t we?). Step in the monokini, a two-piece bikini that isn’t too revealing (or too complicated to put together), and is seamlessly stitched up into one piece of fabric. The New Look Extreme Cutout Swimsuit checks out all the boxes — it isn’t a boring swimsuit, it’s black and slimming, and the cut-out, lace-up sides just make it as sexy as a two piece! Covering the necessary bits I am ever so conscious about when swimming, this takes your boring suit up a lot of notches and also just shows the right amount of skin! I know summer can’t come any sooner, but for now I ain’t complaining about prancing this monokini around, both at the pool and by the sea!
