Deepika Padukone Aces The Fashion Game On Her First Day At Cannes 2018
The Cannes Film festival is on in full swing and our Bollywood celebrities are already conquering the French Riviera with their on-point looks. Yesterday, we saw Huma Qureshi wearing a pristine ivory look by Varun Bahl, and Kangana Ranaut made her Cannes debut, channeling the 1920s in her Sabyasachi saree.
Also making her second appearance at the prestigious event is Deepika Padukone. Last year, Deepika Padukone conquered the Cannes red carpet, wearing a gorgeous Marchesa tulle couture gown with an embellished bodice. She rounded the look with a deep lip and casually tousled hair. For day 2, she had picked a minimalistic teal gown by Brandon Maxwell, featuring a long train.
This year is no different; the beauty is killing it with her fashion choices at the event! Here is a breakdown of her looks from her first day at Cannes 2018.
Deepika Padukone in Maison Margiela
Deepika set the tone for Cannes this year as she entered France in style. For her travel look, she kept it chic and comfy. She wore a Maison Margiela shirt dress, she cinched the shirt dress around her waist with a long oversized belt to give the look some structure.
She paired the shirt dress with her trusted black leather leggings. A pair of ankle length boots from Alexander McQueen and her black Céline bag rounded her travel look.
Deepika Padukone in basics
For some quick interviews, she channeled a basic Parisian-chic vibe ’cause when in France, do as the French do! She wore a pair of basic blue mom jeans, which she paired with a white tee that she tied up on the side, strategically showing off her toned frame.
She further added a pair of oversized hoops, her trusted round Céline sunglasses (which she always wears for her airport looks) and a pair of nude pointy toe Louboutin heels.
Deepika Padukone in Tome Nyc
Doing another change on the same day (because she is fabulous like that) Deepika wore a colourful Tome Nyc striped dress with a slashing neckline and batwing sleeves. She wore the dress with burnt orange Christian Louboutin heels, Viange Vintage earrings, and stacked Misho Designs rings.
Deepika Padukone in Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini
Doing her third change for the day (yes, there is the third change), Deepika wore a geometric print, turtleneck maxi dress by Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini. She paired the look with a pair of Alberta Ferretti heels.
Since the dress has a high neck, she gave the neckline a chance to shine and wore her hair up in a high ponytail. She styled the look with a pair of statement, heart-shaped earrings, and a graphic winged liner.
Deepika Padukone in Zuhair Murad
And the moment we were waiting for, Deepika Padukone graced the Cannes red carpet with much grace and panache. For her big red carpet look on Day 1, she picked a Zuhair Murad Gown.
The nude gown had a sheer lace lining over it that looked pristine. The sheer, floor-length gown has a slashing neckline along with a matching sheer, lace cape that flowed down the back. The gown also had a thin belt around the waist that tied the whole look together.
She accessorised the look with a pair of diamond drop earrings from Lorraine Schwartz, and added a pair of nude heels by Nicholas Kirkwood.
For her beauty look, she channelled the old Hollywood vibe with her hair worn in side-swept finger waves and rounded the look with a fresh face of makeup.
This look is absolutely stunning on her. We love how the gown looks ethereal on Deepika, and the nude sheer details give us a chance to appreciate her toned frame. It is safe to say that this is her best look yet!
Deepika, you NAILED Day 1!
