Meet The Shoes You’ll Be Wearing All Through Fall
Don’t you just love it when a black sheep turns into a rock star? The “Ugly Shoe” of 2015, Creepers are having a big fashion moment this fall. They’ve undergone a real sartorial metamorphosis since first being sighted on soldiers during World War II, with Prada reviving them in 2011 followed by a major push from Stella McCartney last fall. In the Fall 2015 shows, they were star players in both Alexander Wang and Alexander McQueen’s runway presentations. To add to their fashion cred, Rihanna and Kendall Jenner both love this major shoe trend. Closer home, Katrina Kaif too has been spotted wearing them on more than one occasion.
Lending a grungy edge to your everyday outfits, Creepers also add some much-needed height to your look with zero discomfort to boot. Naturally, they’re on my must-have wish list this season.

I’ve had a major crush on Stella McCartney’s creepers since last fall. And this season, these star cut-out, metallic versions above are totally on my #HauteList. If only the prices weren’t so prohibitive, I’d have the entire collection lined up in my shoe closet already!
But for those of us who can’t afford the luxury of a McCartney, fret not! I’ve found a similar-looking pair at Blur (my go-to store for all things fashionably funky) and I’m ridiculously happy right now. I mean look at that pair: Creepers (check!), lace-ups (check!), cut-outs (check!). Happy me (double check!).
