If You Love Lace-Up Flats, It’ll Be A Tie Between These Two!

If You Love Lace-Up Flats, It’ll Be A Tie Between These Two!

If the latest trends always find a home in your wardrobe, then I’m sure your shoe closet has a pair or two of lace-up flats. If not, it’s never too late! As a shoe-obsessed soul, lace-up flats are your fail-safe bet if you want to give high heels a miss this party season. And what better a perfect combination of comfort and style, right? And that’s exactly what these pairs have in common — they’re far from basic and can amp up your look in a jiffy.

Isabel Marant Leo Lace-Up Ballet Flats (Rs 34,000)

While I was looking for a pair in suede, I found my “sole mate” in Isabel Marant’s ballet flats. This flattering design has bohemian chic written all over it: Made of tan suede, it has been embellished with gold eyelets and criss-cross laces. If you’re headed to Goa at the end of the year, you can team this pair with distressed denim shorts, a cami, and a printed kimono. On second thought, this lovely pair costs approximately Rs 34,000 so you might want to skip ruining it in the sand!

It didn’t take me much time to dig out a more affordable alternative at Mango though. While it’s not the same tan colour, this russet-hued pair is pretty similar. Instead of eyelets, it has decorative studs that I actually prefer. IMHO, these Mango lace-up flats are a really nice alternative and at a price that’s much more sensible for us working girls who like a little flair in our wardrobes, no?
