Boi’s Budget Buys: The Breezy Off-Shoulder Dress

Boho chic is a cool look to pull off, don’t you think? It can be anything you want it to be — no judgement. Think edgy, sexy, breezy, fun, relaxed, and uber stylish. What’s not to love? The other great thing about the boho vibe is anti-fit — say goodbye to unsightly bulges and tummy tuckers! This year’s Winter-Festive season in the fashion world has been all about anti-fit, and we ain’t complainin’!
But even when I go the anti-fit, boho route, my style remains fairly feminine — what can I say, I’m a girlie girl. Which is why my pick for this week’s budget look is this très chic, très chill, très pretty off-shoulder dress. Firstly, it’s white — you CANNOT go wrong with it, no matter where you are and which season it is. Further, unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that the off/cold shoulder trend ain’t going nowhere. And this particular piece is so versatile, you can team it with ERRRYTHING.
Well, I decided to pair this with these super haute flatform bluchers (yes, they’re my new obsession). These Zara charcoal grey brogue counterparts with a metallic sheen are just too cool for school. And again, you can wear them with a pretty dress like this one to add a bit of an edge; or your mom jeans for the fashion-blogger look; or even a pair of shorts on a hot summer day. I mean, #LOVE.
Coming back to the boho chic look, I’ve added a ethnic-y chunky silver statement neckpiece, that will perfectly off-set your off-shoulder (see what I did there?). And finally, for the much-needed and much-love pop of colour, here is the cutest faux leather sling bag I found — one I found weeks ago and have been dying to use.
